As I woke up this morning I heard “get down here” but I thought oh no I got to go take care of the field. Oh man I had to plow the field today. But, I thought to myself I didn't like people thinking of me as a slave. It smells really bad with all those wild animals and also its very noisy. I went to the field it looks very messy with all the animals do do on the ground and there's a bunch of chaff everywhere. Ouch oh man I cracked my back from bending down all the time well I got started. I was going to be out here all day long getting two primary crops I had to get was olives and grapes. Then I heard a yell “you better be working harder and harder each second”. Well I was thinking olives are made for olive oil and wine was made out of grapes so I tasted it just to make sure it was ok and it taste pretty good but I couldn't have a lot of it. Well my tummy was rumbling so much but the farmer wouldn't let me have my afternoon break. Until I was finished with the wheat. I had to ground the wheat by large stones for a large amounts of grains with a donkey mill or a waterwheel I rubbed my chin I did not know what to choose from. Hooray I thought I was all done now I could have a break. So I went into the farmhouse and said “so wheres my lunch” and the farmer said “wait you actually thought you were going to get food no you keep working till midnight”. My tummy was rumbling even more I thought I wasn't going to survive but I managed to keep calm. I had to keep bending down and raking the ground then came the evening the farmer said “ you know what you've done enough tonight sunny boy” well I had to make my own food if I wanted to eat. As I came to the kitchen I wiped up some delicious bean soup .
First recipe was 3 qr ts. of water, second is ½ c. dried beans, third is 1 lb. ham hocks, fourth is 3 tbsp. flour, fifth is 1/2 pt. sour cream, sixth is about 2 ½ to 3 c. milk, seventh is ¼ c. vinegar well I got started. I thought to myself that was good but I always like to have bread on the side of my dish so I had some bread with my bean soup. As I came in I wiped of my hands and I was stuffed up. I yawned a couple times then snoozed off.
